What we collect

Through the Discord bot: server IDs, channel IDs, user IDs, and the configuration data a server sets up (settings, economy balances, levels, warnings, and similar records needed for commands to work) are stored so Crest functions in that server. Message content is only read when a feature needs it in the moment (like a moderation filter scanning a message as it's sent) and isn't stored beyond what a feature explicitly keeps, like snipe history or starboard entries, which are scoped to that server.

Through this website: logging in with Discord shares your Discord user ID, username, and avatar with us, provided by Discord's own OAuth2 service. We don't receive your Discord password — authentication happens entirely through Discord.

How it's used

Data collected is used only to operate Crest's features and this website: running commands, persisting server configuration between restarts, and recognizing you when you're logged in here. We don't sell data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Third parties

Crest and this site rely on Discord's API to function, which is subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy. Optional integrations (like music playback pulling metadata from YouTube or Spotify, when those features are used) may involve requests to those services as part of handling the command.

Cookies

This website uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in after authenticating with Discord. It doesn't track you across other sites and isn't used for analytics or advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Server configuration data is kept for as long as Crest remains in that server. Removing Crest from a server doesn't necessarily delete that server's stored data immediately, but it stops being used. To request deletion of data tied to your server or Discord account, reach out through the support server.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about your server or account, and request its correction or deletion, by contacting us through the support server. We'll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Crest's features change. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
